Female Sports Reporters and Twitter

Social Media has completely taken over our lives with website like Facebook and Twitter. Twitter, has become a huge social media tool but also has played a major part in forms of journalism. Journalist can now tweet stories and links to their stories to reach a much larger audience and reach their audience quicker than ever before.

Samantha Steele Ponder:

Steele Ponder is a ESPN Reporter for College Gameday and reports sideline for a variety of other sporting events.

Rachel Nichols:

Nichols is another ESPN sideline reporter who actually reported at the 2013 Rose Bowl game against Wisconsin and Standford.

Amy Van Dyken-Rouen

Van Dyken-Rouen is a sports reporter on Fox Sports Radio, she is also an Olympic winner who won 6 Golds in swimming.

All three of these female reporters are famous and popular for sports reporting in their own way. Samantha Steele Ponder and Rachel Nichols are sideline reporters while Amy Van Dyken-Rouen is famous from being a reporter for sports radio. But, one thing that makes them similar is all three of them using twitter to break sports related stories to their audience.
