Neighborhood: Gateway

Today, some fellow classmates and I explored the Gateway area of Springfield. Below are some of the places we found to be the most intriguing.

The main attraction in the area is the Gateway Mall. This is the main sign, viewable from the road, that attracts customers.

The central transportation in the area, the EMX station.

This abandoned Hollywood Video building stood out with its empty windows and a stack of DVDs in the “Returns” box.

This Circuit City was abandoned as well. Steel bars blocked off the windows and doors. One window was already cracked.

This is what it looks like to be driving in the area mid-morning. No traffic and few cars.

This man advertises the “fastest refunds” outside a small shopping center in the area.
