Twitter is an amazing source of information. It is a great way to get information about any topic and especially topics that are very popular. Finding news about the Middle East can be easy to do by finding tweeters who like to post information about it or finding reporters who are reporting on it themselves. It is somewhat difficult to navigate through all the noise; however, it can be difficult to find specific information. Some bloggers I found:
Andy Carvin is National Public Radio’s senior product manager for online communities. Carvin was the founding editor and former coordinator of the Digital Divide Network, an online community of more than 10,000 Internet activists in over 140 countries working to bridge the digital divide. He is also an active blogger as well, according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_Carvin.
Lara Setrakian is an Armenian American journalist with a focus on the Middle East political economy based in Dubai. As the Middle East correspondent for Bloomberg Television, she was instrumental in Bloomberg Television’s live on the ground coverage of the 2011 Egyptian Revolution. In addition to headlining Bloomberg Television’s coverage from the Middle East, Lara contributes to ABC News, Monocle Magazine, Foreign Policy and Business Insider, according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lara_Setrakian.
