Hello world, I’m Cari Johnson

I’m a journalism and international studies double major and a junior from Portland, Ore. I’ve written freelance articles for Ethos and the Daily Emerald’s Duck Life, and currently work for the School of Architecture and Allied Arts in the Department of External Relations and Communications (where I write stories about crazy cool artists and architects). I’ll be studying abroad in Ecuador next fall term, and plan to join the Peace Corps after graduation. Perhaps a future international correspondent?

I’m interested in writing about human interest stories, anything outdoors, running, local and sustainable businesses, and music, of course. My favorite stories are those that incorporate human rights, justice, or attempting to make the world a better place. Follow me on Twitter via @carimelina
