It’s the sound of a whistle being blown, as a red challenge flag is being thrown. It’s the sound of the crowd cheering, as men in uniforms run onto a grass field. It’s the smell of those hotdogs and pretty horrendous and watery hot chocolate drinks that we all potentially can’t get enough of. It’s the joy of football season, and the blogs that surface during it.
Now for those newcomers, let’s discuss a little bit about the 2011 National Football League. After coming out of an epic NFL Lockout, the season is finally underway; and there’s a few things we all should know: it’s a new kind of season. That’s for sure. However, we all get to decide whether we like the new rules of football or not. For information about how the season is going, in regards to new rules, check here:
For those more interested in the players, you should take a look at statistics. Who’s in the lead for tackles, interceptions, etc. Does Vince Wilfork really have two interceptions for the season already? Is it really Tim Tebow’s time to shine? His stats are here: http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/13200/tim-tebow .
In addition to these stats, we could all take a look at the personal pieces in these football players’ lives. Who’s injured? Who’s not? Who’s making the most money? Who’s playing just for the fun of it? The links above will lead you to these answers.
In the next few weeks, this blog will give you the inside scoop on what’s going on in the NFL world. So, stay tuned, and be ready for some football.
