Enterprise Progress

After interviewing Edith Rivera who works at El Jarro Azul I was really inspired by her generous nature. She gives fresh meals almost daily to homeless people that come through the Jefferson Westside neighborhood. Hearing this, I really thought it would be great to share her story.

Another aspect other than a profile that I wanted to include, is what it’s like being latino/latina in Eugene. I want to do a sort of day in the life of. Talk about the struggles of being a minority and or the struggles of having a Mexican restaurant when they are so many throughout Eugene. I have written up questions and plan on going to El Jarro Azul and interviewing not only Rivera, but also many of her co-workers. I am still trying to think of what I’m going to do for my media project. I may just do a picture slideshow or maybe a video of them making food. I still have a lot of work a head of me, but I am excited to the ball rolling.
