One of the most popular New Year’s resolutions is to get healthy and fit.  Being a month into the New Year, many individuals might have put their resolutions in the back of their minds. However, motivation and encouragement is only a click away into the blogosphere! Former dancer, Jocelyn Steiber uses her blog Peace Love Nutrition to inspire readers to lead healthy lives.  Steiber currently lives in New York and when she is not striking a Vinyasa yoga pose she can usually be found in the kitchen whipping a delicious and nutritious treats.

Q: What initially got you hooked on yoga?

A: “To be honest, I did not have a lot of money. At first I did not understand yoga.” But soon Steiber found her self dripping with sweat. The New Yorker found a yoga clinic that was free and earned money through donations.   Now she practices Vinyasa yoga,which keeps participants constantly moving.

Q: What is the best tip for keeping the body healthy?

A: “I think that every one is different. You have to do what works for your own body. For me, I don’t eat much meat. Listen to your own body, do what is right for you. “

Q: What are your thoughts on vegan and vegetarian diets?

A: She eats more 70% raw food.  She believes it is best to eat foods in their natural form. And once again she expresses that everyone is different.

Q: What is your favorite recipe?

A: “Poached pears is a very simple recipe!” Her secret is using pears and drizzling them with apple juice and then putting them in the oven. She also adds cinnamon and cloves.

Q: How has Positive thinking improved your daily life?  And do you recommend the book?

She recommends the book and stressing the, “purpose of the book is to say life is in your hand.” She also likes the message the book has which is, “act the way you think.”
