oComing to Eugene to attend the U of O has truly opened my eyes to the vast culture of music and art the community values. Between the amazing artwork shown at the Saturday market to the numerous performing arts venues , it’s evident the town has an appreciation for beautiful pieces of expression.
One of the perks that comes with living in Eugene is all the outstanding live music the town has to offer. In fact this year the ASUO set aside money in order to bring a major headliner to campus, and last year Kid Cudi came to Eugene. The University of Oregon understands that live music is a hug part of student life and our culture in general.
Students involved in On The Rocks (the male A Capella group) and Divisi (the female A Capella group) can be seen performing every week in the EMU amphitheater. Live music in Eugene is extremely popular, and the community can’t seem to get enough. Not only is live music easy to find on campus, but the two largest music venues in Eugene are only a couplemiles away from the school. McDonald Theatre and WOW Hall are host to hundreds of incredible artist every year.
