I was looking for a photographer who has his own studio in Laurel Hill. Paul Neevel, who has his studio and works as photographer, living in Laurel Hill. I could not meet with him since he had busy schedule but I set up meeting for tomorrow.
I’ve done some research from his website. He was born in 40s and his grandfather was also a photographer. He started to take photos in 60s and he moved to Oregon in 70s. He was a student of University of Oregon and majored journalism and art. Here’s some works from his college years. After he gradated, he became a photographer and work at Eugene Weekly until now. His recent works can see from here. On his website, I see lots of portraits and wedding ceremony photos.
I prepared some questions for him about asking his life, but basically why he became a photographer in Oregon. And what made him to stay in Eugene. There are bunch of photographers who desire to be a fashion photographer or war photographer. From his website, I found that he decided to stay in Eugene from his young age. So I’d like to know how he made his decision.
