After a week of research and interviews, my enterprise story has an outline now. However, it still has a lot of problems. One of them is that the angle I choose is too spread. I wrote the children’s storytelling time in the library; the digitalized and technological improvement of the library, the issue of bring video games to the library system. But the whole story lacks a key line to tight these parts up. So I’m still trying to figure out a better angle.
Even though I met some difficulties at interviews last week. One of the youth service coordinator in the library got sick and canceled our meeting. But I’m email her again today and hopefully have the chance to talk to her again.
I’ve talked to the youth service manager Greg Rodriguez on Sunday. He introduced the general working process and organization of the children’s department. He also emailed some information and facts sheets of the library history, which I’m thinking of doing sidebar.
I observed two babies storytime telling last Friday, and interviewed the library assistant Hadley Brown who was responsible doing the story. I also talked to some children hanging out there and their opinions toward the library varied differently. This week I need to talk to more parents about how they feel about the games on the computers in the library.
