Quickly: Things I Should Have Told, and Maybe Did Tell, Some of You For the End of the Term

OK! The end-of-the-term round-up:

  1. Remember! Get me drafts of the enterprise story by 11:59 pm & I’ll get yours back to you by tomorrow night at the same time.
  2. Profile drafts: If you don’t have ’em back, you don’t owe me anything, but I’ll try to send you comments anyway for your own information and the future.
  3. No media analysis due!
  4. Soundscape: Should be 1-2 minutes long, probably with some voiceover introducing your neighborhood. Due up on the blog by Tuesday meeting.
  5. Enterprise story: Due on the blog by Tuesday meeting. Put everything in one blog post. Be sure to create a jump after your lede/establishing section, or your introductory piece for those doing 4-6 pieces. To make a jump, which will keep the front page of the blog looking sane, figure out where you want it to say “More” and cut off, and click the jump/break button. That’s the button just beside the “break link” button in the Visual editing portion of adding a post. It looks like this:
  6. Journals should have six entries, one of which (unless you did it earlier) will be your revised mission statement, one of which will be about Best Newspaper Writing and I imagine some of which will be about your enterprise story and your soundscape. Just guessing here.
  7. What’s due by hand on Tuesday: Journals, source list for enterprise story. What’s due online: Enterprise story, soundscape.
  8. Please be absolutely sure that every post you’ve made has your name tagged; that your enterprise story is tagged enterprise story; that your neighborhood blog posts are tagged with the neghborhood name (and other tags); that you include links; that your soundscape has everyone’s name on it.
  9. We meet at Agate Alley at 3 p.m. Its address is 1461 E. 19th Ave, and here’s a little image of the map:
  10. Questions? Email me, DM me, text me (you should have my number on your syllabus and in that email I sent last week). See you soon!
