Extra! Extra! Tweet All About It: An Online Discussion With Journalists About Twitter
Thursday, Oct. 15
Sign-in period: 12 p.m. to 12:15 p.m. Pacific
Discussion 12:15 p.m. Pacific
The discussion will appear at the bottom of this blog post during the event time. Er, not so much, but I (Suzi) am working on getting it into a new post. Apparently, WordPress doesn’t support the frames used by CoverItLive.
We are using CoverItLive! for the event, which will enable us to have a window for our panelists to talk and a window for the audience to simultaneously post comments and questions. Again, things didn’t work quite as we planned, so next time? We’ll know more.
We’ll discuss
- how Twitter has changed journalism
- why journalists use Twitter
- challenges and strategies for using Twitter as a journalist
- advice to aspiring journalists
If you have additional ideas for topics or specific questions you would like addressed, please share them in the comments section of this blog post. Edit from Suzi: Yes, please do put comments, more questions, etc. in the comments here! We’re working on continuing this conversation in other forums as well.

Suzi:
thanks for the opportunity and for the work you’ve put into this. We’ll have to reciprocate as soon as I can come up with as good an idea and as solid a panel.
